I pretty much left Comox the day school finished.
After a couple years in Victoria I moved to the last place on the island, beside Port Alberni, I thought I would live, Duncan.
The mountain biking, sailing, the amazing cowichan river and a fulfilling carpentry career added another 10 years onto my life before I new it. I still have good friends there and still go back.
I met my kids mom Denise in Victoria while I was working as an employment counsellor, construction came to a grinding halt, and god made me do it.
We had our 1st child, Jordan on Saltspring Island a year and half later. The most amazing experience of my life which is tied for 1st with my second daughter Taylor's birth.
Big dreams, a family and fate landed me in Vancouver in 2001.
I started a Building Restoration business, RESTORATECH. Its been a great way to control my time, to spend time with my kids, sqeeze in another business, and go boarding on one of the local mountains once or twice a week.
Leaving the island was difficult but this city is amazing and offered opportunity that I am grateful for everyday.
My partner and I split up in November and that's going better than one might expect. Onward, upward and onto the next challenge, like making my kids a lunch they'll eat.
Looking forward to seeing everybody.
