Reunion Details

I just wanted to take a moment to extend my thanks and appreciation to all those who helped in the planning of the class reunion.   I know it took a lot of time and commitment to put this together.  Thanks to the following committee members:  Gwen Turner Riggs, Terry   Rose Klock, Randall Angst, DeDe and Randy Epley, Dalton Owens, Gary Hendrix, Cathy Stevens Sifferman, and Mark Gunter. I really enjoyed working with each and every one of you and it was a labor of love for me.   A special thanks also to Terry (Rose) and Peter Klock for hosting the barbeque at their lovely home.  They went above and beyond the call of duty, and we are so appreciative of their hospitality.

Thank you to everyone who made the effort to attend the reunion, and we missed those of you who were unable to attend.   We have set the date for the next class reunion which will be held the last weekend in June 2015.  Can you believe it will be our 40 year reunion!   Wow!

This website will only be maintained for a few more months due to the cost of keeping it active.  Therefore, I am asking that you keep my email address in your records, so that if you move or change your email address, etc, in the next few years, it might be easier for us to find you.  My email address is:    marygunter@gmail.com      If you would like to update your profile or contact anyone through this website, please do so in the next few weeks.

Several of our classmates mentioned that they are on facebook, so that is a great way to keep in touch with each other in the interim.   I am on there as well, so you could also contact me with any change of address information through facebook.  If you send a message to my inbox it will be a private message to me, and won't be posted on my wall for everyone to see.

Saturday, June 26th:  A barbeque was held at Terry (Rose) Klock's home just outside Nixa, Missouri.  The festivities started at 6 pm and continue until the wee hours.  We had a delicious catered meal that included barbeque beef and pork, side dishes, dessert, and beverages.  We were entertained by a local band  and they played our school song, and those of us there actually sang along.  Randall provided a large tent/canopy which Terry decorated beautifully and we had dinner and visited there. Cathy Stevens Sifferman was kind enough to set up a table with information and pictures in tribute to the four classmates that are no longer with us.  Gwen addressed the class, thanked everyone, and announced the date for the next reunion in 2015.  A letter was read from Mr. Coyle to update us on his activites now and reflect on things we accomplished while in school.   It was a great evening of fun and a time to catch up and get reaquainted with our classmates.  Those in attendance were:  Terry (Rose) and Peter Klock, Randall and Linda Angst, Dee (Medlock) and Howard Twyman, Gwen (Turner) and Dwayne Riggs, Jill (Hodge) and David Taylor, DeDe (Bennett) and Randy Epley, Mary (Peirano) and Mark Gunter, Gwen (Bowman) and Gary Hendrix, Bob Allen, Pam (Gilby) McIntire, Debby Long, Cathy (Stevens) and Carl Sifferman, Lillian (Lil) (Brooks) and Ed Dannenberg, Debbie (Hileman) and Rex Colvard, Roger and Judy Teubner, Diane (Penrod) and Greg House.  

Sunday, June 27th:  Lunch was held at the Conway Community Building.  Festivities started at 1:00 pm and continued until 4:00 pm.  A delicious lunch was catered by Linda Henson and was enjoyed by all.   Dalton went through the yearbook and we reflected on past memories of high school and classmates.  Mark Gunter suggested that a tour of the high school would be fun, and Dalton made arrangements for that, so we went to the high school and walked down memory lane (the halls) of the high school.  We got to see some of the updates and changes that have taken place at dear old Conway High, including a new gym floor, and updates to the gym itself, as well as a weight room that has been added.  The gym and bleachers are now painted in school colors, as well as the curtains on the stage.  It looked great, however, most of us were sure that the school must have taken out several rows of chairs and bleachers, because we thought the gym use to be much bigger when we were there.  Dalton assured us that was not the case, we just remembered it being bigger than it seems now.  Ha! Those in attendance were:   Terry (Rose) and Peter Klock,  Gwen (Turner) Riggs, Jill (Hodge) and David Taylor,  Mary (Peirano) and Mark Gunter, Gwen (Bowman) and Gary Hendrix,Bob and Teresa Allen, Pam (Gilby) McIntire, Cathy (Stevens) and Carl Sifferman, Roger and Judy Teubner, Diane (Penrod) and Greg House, Dalton and Becky Owens, and Sandra Row (Young). 

It was wonderful to see everyone.  If you didn't make it to this class reunion, you should definitely put it on your calendar for 2015.
