I knew Gordon's older sister, they were very close.  Gordon always appeared shy but very friendly and religious.

A classmate shared that Gordon had gone through a break up.  Through his religion he belived that if he scarificed his life for another's, their soul would be saved.  Apparently, Gordon went to the place of his ex girlfriends employment, parked in the lot and shot himself.
