I loved Jim. Had great conversations about the Lord, fishing, family, everyday life. I am so glad we will see him again, but sad for Pam and the family for losing the actual touching and seeing him with us everyday. It is much like a huge clipper ship. Jeff has gone onto that ship and we watch as it sails away, and gets smaller with distance, but on the other side, the ship gets much greater in size, and others are saying "He's Coming!" He will be missed, here, in the meantime. Such a spiritual giant of a man. Truly a gift from God.

Jim Zawistowski, Zowie, was a fellow Coon Rapids Senior High classmate, always laughing and joking, his nick name for me was Patty Polack. At the time it wasn't an insult, but rather a friendly name. We called him Zowie with the same meaning. After all these years I still remember his smile and happy attitude. He will be missed and I am keeping his family in my prayers. Take care.

It has been a long time however I can remember very clearly some of the antics at the Coon Rapids drive in theatre. Jim was a larger than life person in our youth and I'm sure he is entertaining all of those in heaven! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Jim was a loyal and true friend in high school. I haven't seen him since high school, but have so many good memories. Really left a mark on so many people as a Christian. Jim, you will be so missed.  By attending his memorial, was able to find out what a wonderful job our class has done to stay connected.  Phil Boever
