Cari Evans

Cari EvansCari Lynn Evans, 35, born August 13, 1971 in Michigan City, Indiana; passed away on April 15, 2007 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Daughter of Frances and Larry Schuster (Cooper City) and Grover and Raylynn Evans (Groveland, FL). Cari graduated from Cooper City High School in 1989 and Florida State University in 1993 in the hospitality field. She worked for the hotel industry in Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh; Asbury Park, New Jersey and Charlotte, North Carolina. Cari was the Area Director of Revenue Management Carolinas Area for Hilton Hotels in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was a devoted Florida State University Seminole Fan. Cari loved to run in half-marathons and marathons. She ran in Chicago, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Nashville, Walt Disney World and the Marine Corps Marathon. She ran for Team in Training Leukemia sponsored events. Cari leaves behind to cherish her life her mother Frances Schuster (Larry), her father Grover Evans (Raylynn), her sister Lisa Lye (Mark), her brother Richard, her grandmothers Grace Schuster and Phyllis Whitney and her grandfather Richard G. Evans. She adored her 2 year old nephew Lucas and 3 month old niece Eva. A memorial service celebrating Cari?s life will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 7601 SW 39th Street, Davie, Florida on Sunday, April 22, 2007 with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. and the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, contributions in memory of Cari may be directed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I knew Cari from middle school. We met in band class. She was a quiet girl but a good person to know. She will be missed.

I still can't believe she is gone. We were born on the same day. Her mom still lives down the street from my mom. I pass her house almost every week. She is truly missed.
