Donie Stump Parker

After graduating I started working in banking and have moved around a bit.....I have lived in Kansas, Maryland, California, back to Ohio and finally North Carolina. I love the weather and the people here. Don't miss the cold and snow one bit. Have been married and divorced twice. My last marriage was to my high school sweetheart Dave Parker. Dave lives close by and we run into each other now and then. We raised a crew of his, mine, and ours before calling it a day. I have decided to just do the single life. It's so much easier.

I finally left Banking in 2007. So many mergers I couldn't remember who I worked for. I worked for the same bank for the past 18 years...but the name has changed 5 times. I decided it was time for a career change and now work for the City of Kannapolis as a Deputy Finance Director. If your a race fan...that's where Dale Earnhardt was born and raised. My office is just a block from the park that was dedicated in his honor. I love the change and working for the City vs corp America.

I have two grown children..Jason is a Civil Engineer who is married and lives in Concord. His wife Laura is a PA working for CVS in their Minute Clinics. Jason and Laura gave me two beautiful grandchildren...JT and Lydia. My daughter Amanda graduated from ECU where she met her husband Blake. They have a daughter named Elizabeth. My stepdaughter Salena moved back to Ohio for awhile...but has moved back to NC...she's a Carolina girl after all! My stepson David Jr. lives in the Midwest and has two adorable children. They are the spittin' image of their daddy.

I have a house that's two big for me and a cat. I moved my parents here to live with me. They don't miss the snow one bit.

I doubt that Ill ever get to retire...since my 401K is loaded with shares of stock in the financial industry.

Guess what? I finally hung up my high heels and retired September 2020.....it was way past time. I'm loving spending more time with my grandchildren and doing all those DIY projects around the house. Hope to squeeze in some traveling now and then.
