In Memory

Jenny Fien (Fraser)

Jennifer Fien Fraser, age 72, peacefully met her savior, Jesus Christ, on October 6, 2021, due to a stroke. She was born on May 9, 1949, in Miami, FL, to Carl and Marie Fien. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Joseph Fraser, on August 14, 1969, and they were married for 52 years.

Along with her beloved sisters, Jenny experienced a wonderful and loving childhood, growing up in Miami. The girls were blessed enough to have their paternal granddaddy live with them. Upon returning from dates with her future husband Tom, Granddaddy would be waiting for a batch of roll up pancakes. Jenny attended Coral Gables Senior High and graduated in 1967. Her sisters and her friends joked that Jenny’s smile lit up the halls, happily serving as Homecoming Queen and participating in many extracurricular activities. Jenny attended The University of Georgia, as well as The University of Miami.

Jenny could not have been more loving. Christ was at the center of her life. She always put everyone, including the needs of animals, first. The list of examples is endless. The neighborhood landscapers and sanitation workers always knew they could count on her for cold water, a smile and an encouraging word. She fed stray cats at her office daily for 20+ years. Although she devoted so much of her time loving on others, she was happiest serving her grandchildren. Jenny lived for the moments she could drop everything to lend a helping hand, swooping in to brighten the lives of her precious granddaughters, Ella and Lila Fraser.

Real estate came to be a great passion of Jenny’s. She exuded joy in her professional life; her clients often became her best friends. Tom and Jenny founded Beechwood Realty in North Carolina in 1976. In the early years, they raised their children on Beech Mountain, NC, before moving to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL in 1984. After 35 years with Stockton, Arvida, and Coldwell Banker/Vanguard, Jenny then joined Tom in their personal boutique company, Beachwood Realty. Service to her community was also a great love, as Jenny spent countless hours serving Ponte Vedra through her church as a founding member of Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church. You could often find Jenny delivering food to those in need and serving as the much loved cookie and hot cocoa lady at the Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Journey to Bethlehem.  Another example of Jenny’s love for her church was serving others by personally delivering potato salad for 25+ years to a local soup kitchen, always with a personal anonymous delivery note on behalf of the church.

Jenny is survived by her husband, Thomas Joseph Fraser; her children, Katherine Fraser Debolt and Thomas Joseph Fraser, Jr. (Gretchen Bielmyer-Fraser); grandchildren, Ella McCormack Fraser and Lila Kenzie Fraser; step grandchildren, Reese and Carter Williamson; sisters, Janet Fien Batchelor (Ross Gresham Batchelor) and Barbara Fien Noel (Michael Randolph Noel); Tom’s sisters, Katherine Fraser Taylor (William Taylor, Sr.) and Carole Fraser Graham; as well as countless nieces and nephews.

Please join us at: Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church, 4510 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL @11:00 AM, November 13, 2021 for a memorial service to celebrate her life here on earth.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the charity of your choice, or simply pay it forward, as that would be Jenny’s wish.
