In Memory

Bill Kerestes

December 9, 2021

Dear Cavalier Friends,

It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you of the death of our beloved classmate and brother Bill Kerestes from brain cancer. He was certainly one of our very best. Bill finally rested this morning at about 8:15 AM Eastern time. Sally was at his side as she has constantly been throughout this horrible ordeal.

It is almost unfathomable that our vibrant, energetic and fully engaged in life friend would be felled in a scant  43 days.

Those of us who were privileged to be in contact with Bill and Sally through this journey witnessed the dignity of a man of faith facing his mortality. In Sally we saw a strong life partner fully dedicated every minute to the comfort and wellbeing of her husband during this odyssey. Our admiration of Sally knows no bounds.

. As always, please pray for Bill and Sally.

Alex

Condolences to Sally and the Kerestes family. So sad to hear this news about a very good friend. Bill lived about 5 blocks away when we were growing up. We rode bikes together to Ponce de Leon Jr. High Scool and were constantly playing football across the street from his house in Pat Ruel's yard along with basketball. We always enjoyed reminiscing about those days and being basketball teammates in junior high and at Gables at reunions. Yet one more reason to appreciate Alex and others for putting together our reunions.
