Comments:

Both of my daughters are Miller graduates!! My oldest graduated in 1997 (and I was senior sponsor that year) and the youngest graduated in 2001 (she was a cheerleader).

I am excited about attending your 20th reunion!! Man! 20 yrs!!! Glad you got old and I didn't! lol

For those who have posted pics, you all look great! I still think the hardest part of teaching is watching my students graduate. The best thing tho, is keeping in touch with my students when they leave. I love Facebook cause it allows me to keep up with many Miller graduates.

School Story/Memory:

This was my most exciting year in journalism as Iris (Gonzales) Hinojosa advanced to the UIL State competition! I had a blast with her and her parents when we went to Austin for that competition! She was 7th in the state! (wink, wink)

I take with me many wonderful memories of students who taught me just as much as I did them...I miss you all!

Who was your favorite teacher at Miller?

Wow, I have worked with so many! I think Sid Whitefield had the most influence on me. She taught me how to work within the educational system and work with students. I loved Harriet Curtis, Danny Reyes, and Id have to say even Ann Evans.

When you left high school, what did you think you would be doing 20 years later?

I finally retired May 2009 after teaching 26yrs, all at Miller! I cant imagine ever teaching anywhere else! I will live here in Kansas until either I pass away or my hunnie, Daryl does. I do miss Texas a lot. Living out here in the country is nice, and as long as the cows stay on their side of the fence, I am good!

What was your first job?

Journalism Teacher at RMHS

What was your first car?

1961 Ford Falcon

Where would you build your dream vacation home?

Parker, Kansas...well, its already been built, just gonna move in this June 2009!

What song immediately takes you back to the 80's?

Too many, as an internet DJ, I have over 6GB of 80's songs

What was the first concert you attended?

The Guess Who, no really, they are a group! lol We are talkin early '70s here

Please give 3 other classmates' names who, no matter how many years pass, are most likely to know your whereabouts.

Well I have to say my students would be: Claudia Morales, Vanessa Martinez, and Millie Marcha...I keep in contact with them them most.

How did you find out about our reunion website?

Vanessa Martinez got in touch with me :)
