School Story/Memory:
I never took part in any activities except for going to pep-rallies; that's what I looked forward to every Friday afternoon.
There are too many things to mention about high school - let's see - getting thrown of Mrs. Curtis' English class, going to ISS, or having to go to summer school and not being able to enjoy the free time like everyone else, relationships, arguments, heartaches, etc.
But the two good things I most remember about my Senior year was
Mr. Davis' Office Ed class and Ms. Mac's Journalism class.
I'll never forget the time I had to write something for our school newspaper. Nothing came to mind except for the new Marquee Billboard that we had installed in front of the gym. The only person who had all the answers to my questions was our PRINCIPAL - MR. CONRADO GARCIA! Holy crap! So there I was, sitting in his office, hands sweating, voice shaking but I got through it...finally! I kept a copy of that newspaper as one of my badges of courage. Thank you
Ms. Mac for giving me that courage.
As for Mr. Davis' class, I never thought he'd be my ticket to where I am now.
Mr. Davis taught you how to be taken seriously in life. He taught me how to give a handshake and be sincere by looking them in the eye. All of those factors came perfectly into play for me when I went on the two interviews Mr. Davis had set up for us girls. We interviewed at Rose Hill Cemetery and Ferguson Enterprises. I bombed at Rose Hill (ha ha) and took the job at Ferguson - from a receptionist to a salesperson, I stayed with that company for 11-1/2 yrs and then moved on to another. Thank you Mr. Davis!
