Norma Key -Garner

BA degree w/all level music teacher certification from UCC-1968; MA in education management from UTSA-1984; 15 years teaching music (including 8 years of band) and 10 years as a school principal in San Antonio; 27 years as a contract keyboardist in the chapel program at Lackland AFB; retired in 1995 to the Key family ranch in Gonzales County where she lives in the boonies with 5 dogs, some registered Brangus cattle, and the most gorgeous sunsets you could ever hope to see. Life IS and HAS BEEN good! (She has gone by the name of Key Garner for almost 40 years.)

Being a Texan band member, my motivation for getting up every morning was first period with Mr. Chiorgno and my tremendously loyal, life-challenging, sometimes demented, always competitive, and just-within-the-law classmates who joined together with me to make music for three years. Just about everything I ever needed to know about life was learned during that first period every morning or in activities related to its curriculum. Awesome memories!!
