This photo was taken July 8, 1989 at our class reunion. Were you here with us then? Some featured then will not be part of this year. It makes sense though...as I have discovered, many did not feel the connection needed to show for these events. There are those of us who may have not connected well - then - still have an openness for the connection that was never made then. Some of us are finding late, a continual discovery of life that had not been opened to us then...
As I look at this photo and understand some of the narratives in the lives represented here...we all have lived in our life choices and find ourselves where we are - "here and now." We know many of our classmates did not make the full journey...this "second half of life"...Richard Rohr calls it the "Further Journey." Yet, many have found they key to life, seeking and this is so joyful to share together.
