My wife Nancy and I graduated from Cal State L.A. in 1965.

I have flown airplanes continuously since then.

I now fly just for fun. It has always been fun but now I do not get paid for it.

At what age did you REALLY become a "grownup" and why?

Many times I thought about becoming a grownup and a pilot.
I was told that I could not do both.

Tell something about yourself that would surprise us?

Acrophobia. I have always had it but it has lessened somewhat as I have gotten older.

Ever broken any bones and how did it happen? Or broken someone else’s bones?

I crushed my two small toes on my right foot. I dropped a heavy crankshaft on them when I was rebuilding my aircraft engine. It really hurt. It is all better now and all the piggies can go to market or stay home.

Did you go camping as a kid? Memories?

We still go camping every spring, summer, and fall.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

As a kid I never wanted to grow up. I was scared of needing to act like an adult and having to work for a living.
Then I decided to become a PILOT. Problem solved.

Our 3rd adventure into the Idaho wilderness ended with Nancy having to ride home as a patient.

Our 3rd adventure into the Idaho Wilderness this summer ended with Nancy having to ride home as a patient. She had a severely dislocated hip. We hope to be back there in about 6 weeks depending on her recovery. It was very traumatic.
