When I graduated I worked at ALPO for a year then came up to Lincoln and found myself a job at National Data. From there I went to SCC Milford and got a certificate in Computer Programing. After that I came back up to Lincoln and started working at the Nebraska Department of Labor. I Worked there as a computer operator and then went back to SCC in Lincoln and got a Degree in Child Care and worked at Mary Moppets and at SCC itself in their Child Care Department. After leaving the child care area I still worked at the Nebraska Department of Labor. I started my own business called Marcia's Pet N Plants Pampering where I took care of peoples' animals and plants when people would go on vacations or they worked and needed someone to come in and walk their dogs. I also did housesitting where I would go in and actually live at the house while my clients were away. This and my job at the state where i had worked for 34 years all ended in 2005 when I had back surgery and left me in wheelchair. Now I like to still do some gardening and have 2 cats Jacob and Rosie and 1 rescued dog Selma. My husband Ivars and I have been married 41. years. We have no children.
