Nancy Martin Flory

Wow. Married, had one child, and then divorced. Remarried and have a step son. Lived in Virginia and then moved back to Elgin and lived in Elgin since about 1975. Worked for attorneys for 26 years and now work at a design firm doing all the office accounting/HR and anything else that needs done! Have summer place at Lake Shelbyville and spend time boating, water skiiing and jet skiing in the summer. Have three grandsons that keep us busy when they are around. Enjoying life since retirement.

I loved to be in the art room and I had worked on a pottery project making a matching vase and plate and painstakingly carved this intricate design on each and then painted it. Our art teacher, Mr. Quick, put them in the kiln on a Friday night and forgot them so that on Monday morning when I arrived in the art room the news was this: Good news is I got an A on the project, but the bad news was that my plate and matching vase were nothing more than a small pile of ash!!!
