I don't know about a closing song for the reunion, but I know that  the " closing " song for our graduation , unofficially, was " We got to get Out of This Place,,, if it's the last thing we evvveeeeeeer do! "....   I was so ready to get out of high school, and rules, and regulations, and homework and dressing up......  These days, as a substitute teacher, I see the kids come to school in pj's, there are very few visible rules, and standards of excellence in homework , expectations seem to be nil!  I do feel that we got a good education and because there was some order in the classroom, I do remember actually learning something.  ( I never had erasers thrown at me..) 

Not really a closing song at the reunion, but just a song that I think puts things in perspective. With us getting older, and our parents passing, and our children growing up.

It's a song by John Prine, (a chicago folk singer),  It's called  "Hello in There",  check it out,  John also wrote  " Sam Stone",  about our friends returning from Viet Nam.  It was a crazy time, and I don't think anyone of us could say that they were not affected by that.

With the 4th of july coming up, these are the things I think about.

Lots of classmates have recently joined the site so we just want everyone to know that there are currently three blog Forums with 14 topics having been discussed. Rick Larson set us out on a journey of song - originally asking what we should have as the closing song at the reunion.
