This is a fantastic site especially for those who like myself lost touch with the area and the people. As an added bonus the memories were rekindled thanks to those that contributed to the site it is a great gift.

Gerry , you have a great writing ability. So where did it flourish and when and why was it  hidden  in school?

I used to pay John Costello to write for me....I noticed the Professors liked that I wrote this off the wall stuff that had nothing to do with anyhting but at least it wasn't boring. Then again it might be the drugs wearing off G

No "nevermind" Charlie!  This site has been great for many - but maybe not so great for others? I'm not sure, I've just heard the good comments! But as we've discussed, it can always be better but we need EVERYONE'S feedback to make it so. We ALL need to keep this BLOG section fresh as Charlie originally suggested. But to do that, we ALL have to post new topics and add our two cents to the topics already posted. (Thanks Bob Allyn for being a "new poster"!) We've heard from lots of you that you've really enjoyed the site, and this section particularly, but YOU have to keep it going - those of us who've posted can't keep coming up with new ideas! Heck, I can't remember half the stuff that you all have! So join in - tell us YOUR stories and memories! When you look at the disproportionate number of posts versus the numbers who have viewd the posts, you can see the challenge we're facing! We need YOU!

Very well said Paul.  I know that you and others have worked alot on this site, spent time that you should have been doing other things. I just want to say thanks man. It's a good site, keep on keeping on.

Thanks Charlie! You've given me a great opening to thank some of those who really deserve the kudos!

  1. Lynne Dinzole - Lynne was the one who found me again and connected me with Barb Lachenmeir Spangenberg and Susie Wallens Covey to get this whole thing started and begin planning for our 40th reunion. Now she's our accountant and banker and she's been generous beyond belief throughout this planning process! Thanks so much for getting us going Lynne!
  2. Barb Lachenmeir Spangenberg - Barb is the organizeer that keeps us all properly focused! Big surprise for those who knew her in high school huh? She's kept me on track and has organized our contact database so we could get in touch with so many of you. Barb, you're awesome and thanks for your tireless efforts!
  3. Susie Wallens Covey - Huge kudos are in order for Susie. Not only has she been the front line person in CL for all the arrangements for this reunion, she has just absolutely worked her tail off for all of us - not just for this reunion (and this website) but for ALL the previous ones! Susie, you are the best and thank you SO much for all your efforts - now and in the past - you ARE a gem! And still as cute as a button just like you were in first grade!
  4. Jill Johnson Maltos & Joan Corrigan Staker - Now these two gals are really the "behind the scenes" workers! Jill was the first to start helping us find people and the one who originally discovered many of our deceased classmates. Then Joan and her paired up to find most of you "lost classmates"! Many of you would not be here if it wasn't for their tireless efforts doing what to me would have been incredibly boring work! I couldn't have done it, that's for sure! But they actually were challenged by this sleuthing and seem to have enjoyed it - but I'm sure they're getting relieved that we have only 20 or so classmates still to find! (We think - and if we're right, this is amazing out of a class of 350+!) And Jill did this all in the midst of a very personal loss in her family. We love ya Jill and mourn your loss with you!
  5. Nick Mozak - We would not have our Senior Pictures posted on the site to compare with what we look like today (Oh good, yet another opportunity for me to plead with those of you who haven't "revealed yourself" to do so! Post a current photo! I'm sure you're enjoying looking at all those who have so, it's just the right thing to do!) without Nick's tireless efforts early on to upload our Senior Yearbook photos. Thanks so much for your help Nick!
  6. Rick Barchard, John Lutsch and Holly Harms La Spina - Thank you guys as well for your efforts in helping us get all this going!

OK, Barb and Susie can now chime in to recognize whomever I missed! And my apologies for forgetting anyone else! And thanks again Charlie for giving me the perfect opportunity to do this!

Your life coaching skills are shining Paul. You sure know how to give credit where  credit is due. What a great job YOU have done. I am still in awe how y'all have put this all together and it has been one of the highlights after my long days at work to log on and in my own way connect with people I have often thought about and wondered how their life is. It warms my heart and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart that you have the dedication and stamina to keep  this going. I wish I had your talents. We are all good at what we  do and I admire so much of what you are doing. I cannot say enough.

Thanks Vivian - on behalf of all of us. And I know I can speak for our team that we do this out of a desire to serve. We want to help you all connect in meaningful ways - even if it is only over the internet! Our class is full of people just like us who, each in our own way, make a difference - by touching the lives of others. That, I believe, is what this life is all about. So, with that statement, I laud each of you who read this and thank each of YOU for those every day contributions you make to the lives of others!

 Hello All:

Thanks to Paul for his generosity of  spirit and his sincere wish that EVERYONE in our class experience a great reunion, whether at the event  in September or in cyber space. I agree with Vivian about  how checking in with the site  can be a good way to soften one's daily challenges. I was thinking this past week that even tho I may not have had a direct acquaintance with everyone in our class, through the process of helping with this site and the excitement of attending the reunion, I have experienced a commonality and connection  with many. I truly look forward to September 18th.

Thanks to you Nick, you did a great job.  Also, your comments about the site, and about Paul, were right on the mark.

Lots of classmates have recently joined the site so we just want everyone to know that there are three blog Forums currently with 14 topics having been discussed. Charlie Boss started us out on this Topic by asking how people like our class website. So, this is a good place to discuss what else you'd like to see here - but be careful, we may ask you to make it happen!

Check out all the topics and post a comment if you have something to add! If you click on the Forum List at the top of the page, you can view the Forum titles. Click a title and you will see the the individual topics listed in that Forum. If you'd like to start your own topic to be discussed, click "Post New Topic" at the top of the page, name your topic and post away! Happy Blogging!
