Joe died of cancer on April 10, 2008 but we do not know any other circumstances of his passing.

Joey and I went through grade school and high school together, and I remember in grade school gym class when we were doing a square dance. He wouldn't hold my hand. He pulled either his shirt sleeve down or mine, and held my hand through that! He was also one of the dirty dozen in high school, who got suspended? for wearing their hair too long....Charlie Boss
Joey was a very good friend, I did attend his services. Going back to freshman year, Joey, Jim Broederdorf and I were about the shortest guys in the class, with some of the most smartass mouths. Anyway I remember coach Nystrom always yelling at the 3 of us, something about us little guys always hiding under the bleachers and he could never find us. Worked for us. Joey was a fun loving guy! He was quite the jokester and loved his cars! He did his stint out at the sod farm too and did some trap shooting with me, Higgins, and Radke. I am sure he lead a great life, so sad he had to go so soon.

I really thought Joe was a cool guy and enjoyed playing pool with him at the barbershop pool hall. Wish he was still around.
