Hello, Class,

I knew Stanley from Sunday School classes at St. Paul's United Church of Christ.  His family worshipped faithfully there for many years.  He was so quiet!  Of course, our class was rather boisterous, so he didn't get much chance to say anything.  I am so sorry to hear he is gone.  A gentle soul that many of us overlooked.

I just got off the phone with Terry McDonough and he gave me the sad news about Stanely. I didn't see an e-mail from the group that informed me of his passing but I would like to say something. I met Stanely in High School. We didn't share any classes since there was such a disparity in intelligence but I had the pleasure of hanging out with Stanely after school. I was interested in music and would head over to a friend's house after school to jam with him and would pass by Stanely's parent's house on Walkup. Seeing Stanely in the yard he would invite me over to talk and smoke whatever we had. Stanely was extraordinarily mature and level-headed something I sorely lacked at the time. I was a bit awkward socially but I found Stanely easy to talk to. I was happy that I was able to spend some time with Stanley. One of the main reasons I attended the 2009 reunion was to meet up with Stanely and some of my mates. I was happy to see and speak with Stanely and meet his wife Cheryl at the reunion. My best to his loved ones.
