Walt, we will miss you!  Walt loved his music and I was lucky enough to play with him in our high school band, "Take Five".  It was a good great time and I still remember that first practice we had at his house.

I played the drums and during the very first song we were trying, they all stopped playing and turned and looked at me and said, "Barney, you play drums and do the screams, but no SINGING!

We all had great fun playing at those after game dances!

Keep on playing Walt!

Back in the days, Walt and I were good friends. He was always there as a friend and always ready to help. I would never hesitate to reciprocate. We shared the same interests like music, cars, hi-fi, etc. We were both naturally born skeptics, which fed our cynical sense(s) of humor. I was saddened by not having been there when he passed, which was much too soon.  I'll always remember him as the good friend he was.

My memories of Walt were of him smiling, and cracking jokes. He was a friend to many and always made time for people who were down. He had a way to bring a smile to your face. You will be missed by many. RIP my friend

Like Rick B, I knew Walt through his music although marginally, as I was a transplant from Barrington for our Sr year. I recall that Walt was a great guitar player. We (Old Granddad's Sonic Tonic) would borrow Walt's Fender Bandmaster amp to use in our after-game gigs; he was always happy to loan it. Keep on jammin' Walt!

I heard about Walt. I guess I pretty much would just repeat what others said about Walt and his music. Walt really knew bands and turned me on to the Cream. I first met Walt in fifth grade, Mrs Bengston's  class. I seemed to have a habit of blurting out the most ridiculous comments. Walt seemed to feel my cynical attitude was funny and told me I had a good sense of humor. What I remember about Walt is that he was not mean. I went on to play music and we sort of went our ways but Walt will always hold a special place with me becuase he lived life as an artist.
