Mark was killed in an accident Friday April 1, 2011 in Phoenix AZ.
Mark's cousin, Sharon Fowler O'Hara, reports that Mark is survived by his wife, two children and several grandchildren - all living in Arizona. He was retired and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and also riding his motorcycle.

As I was checking the website as I do every so often, I saw the notice & the name at the top of the page........Mark Fowler. I was stunned & saddened. Mark & I were friends since we were back in early grade school. We lived a block from each other & hung around quite a bit.......listening to music, playing cards, etc. We shared our first job together......at Branded Steakhouse washing dishes.
We stayed friends for a long time..we were in each others wedding party. Through the years, as happens to most people, you slowly drift apart. We stayed in contact as much as we could. I know Mark worked at Eagle Food store in Round Lake & also lived there for many years. A couple of years ago I ran into his dad & sister. They told me he had moved to Phoenix & they gave me his phone # & email address. I called Mark & talked to him for quite a while, like we had never been away. We used to bowl together & Mark was a very good bowler. He told me that he had finally done it...he bowled a perfect 300 game! We told each other we would keep in touch, but it didn't happen. I was in Glendale, AZ in January but we just didn't hook up.
This website has allowed us to re-connect with each other & I have tried to do that with several people and have been successful. I suggest you all do the same because you may never have that chance again & the next time you check the website you might see something you weren't looking for.
Rest in peace my friend
