Mike was very cool but again I was too reserved or too shy to make many friends. I think it a bit sad that some people went to school and grew up with us and yet nobody (as of yet) has written anything on their behalf.

Mike Green was one of my favorite people at CLCHS. His laugh was infectious. As I remember it, we become friends while working on the float(s). At our 30th I sat outside with him and heard that laugh again. He had an oxygen tank then, I wondered if I would see him at our 40th. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. I will miss him.

Mike was everyones’ friend, if you knew him you liked him, and he would do anything for you, (even if you did get him loaded a few times, or make him the designated driver for the night). He did it gladly because he was your friend.
When we got him laughing, which was very easy, it made us laugh with him even harder. He was great, I liked Mike, he was a little wilder than most people probably think. Must have been the Tennessee side of him.
He married his bride Michelle in 1974 and they lived in the DeKalb/Sycamore area almost the entire time. They had a son Ryan in the late ‘70s.
I’m not sure his profession, but I’m pretty sure he had to retire early due to health. He and Michelle did some house renovations too.
He’s missed.

Mike was everyone's friend and was fun to be around. I can remember his voice and how is laugh was very contagious.

He was always there to help out any of the class projects and consoled many of the football players after a bad day.

He will be missed.

Mike was one of my favorite people in high school. I know he worked at the Crystal Lake post office for awhile after high school. My parents sent me a package while I was attending Western Illinois University, and he wrote me a note in a corner of the package--he obviously handled its processing--, "Hi Pam, Mike Green." It made my smile. Now it makes me sad to realize he passed away so early in life.

Mike was a close friend of mine in high school. In fact he and I rented his basement from his parents after we graduated for a while. Mike was a great guy and everyone liked him. The last time I saw him, he was in college studing computer science. I'm very sorry he is not with us any longer.

Mike was just a great guy and a great friend. He had a remarkable way of making you laugh even when you might be down. His laugh surely was infectious.

I remember a year or two after we graduated, Mike and a few others from our class, would jump in a few cars and head to Wisconsion to drink at a place called the Char Bar. Ok, not politically correct, but it was a different time.

Mike would keep us all in stitches from the time we left until we, somehow, returned safely to CL.

Mike, You are missed by many. Sleep well.

I had driver's ed "Behind the Wheel" with Mike. I was a horrible driver and trying to keep it together while Mike laughed in the back seat was impossible. One day the teacher, wish I could remember his name, made us drive a stick shift VW Beetle. I don't know what shook the car more, my driving or Mike laughing. Sorry he won't be with us at the reunion.
