Norma died in Denver on September 9, 2010 at age 59, following a stroke. She was born in Champaign, Illinois to Hjalmar and Mary (Butterfield) Sundin. Norma graduated from the University of Northern Colorado.
She resided in Summit County, Colorado for 20 years, was active in community activities, and served as the Administrative Assistant for the Copper Mountain Metropolitan District for the last 14 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her brother, Eric, and is survived by his widow, Ginger, her father, and extended family and many close friends.
Norma loved skiing, gardening, motorcycling and her cats, and with her father had climbed all fifty-four of Colorado's "Fourteeners", 14,000 foot mountain peeks.
A memorial remembrance will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Advocates for Victims of Assault.
