After High School I moved East up to the Sacramento Area to go to school. Since my scholastic skills were less than steller, I was fortunate to find a Junior College that had dorms so I could move away from home. I was interested in construction and they had a residential construction program that taught you how to build a house from the ground up. My goal was to graduate with an AA degree and become a General Contractor. When I finished in 92, the market was bad so I became a framer and mostly framed track homes. I knew I did not want to do that for the rest of my life, so I went back to school at Sacramento State which has one of the best Construction Management programs in the state. During that time I met Nicole and we got married in 95. I received my BS and went to work as a project engineer then eventually project manager building large commerical building projects. During that time we had our first 2 children Benjamin and Taylor. I was working out of town a lot and eventually I got tired of the grind and pressure of general contracting. Fortunetly I developed a large data base of contacts, so I was able to start my own company and I have been in business for 11 years working primarily for institutions Sac Sate, UC Davis, Los Rios College District. It was during this period that we had our younger set of children, Jordan and Issabella. We live in Auburn which is in the sierra foothills.
