This is so very hard to hear about but not a surprise. I looked for Jim at the reunion and had heard he felt "that some things are better left in the past". I understand he had a form of throat Cancer which left him with speech challenges. I'm certain all of us would have understood and welcomed him. Even in high school Jim had such a kind heart and was a gentle soul. I never heard Jim make a negative comment about anyone. This is such very sad news. He will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace Jim.....

I met Jim in 8th grade.  He was one of the kindest classmates I knew all the way through graduation.  Prayers for your family, Rest In Peace my friend.

I share everyone's sentiments about Jim as our friend and as aperson we wish was still here Iwas able to follow Jim through mutual friends that we had in Houston (small world). Hw was so kind and the epitome of a gentleman.

I was so glad that Sam had posted this information as I had read this in the Houston Chronicle yesterday.  I was fortunate to have seen Jim several years ago when we ran into each other in downtown Houston.  I was in management with one of the office buildings downtown and Jim was with the Suisse Bank.  We just happened to run into each other one day and had a wonderful lunch and vist a couple of days later.  A little confession here............I had a crush on Jim our Sophomore year and if I remember correctly, we were a bit of an "item" for a few short weeks................that "young love" thing.....HA!.  Jim was just a wonderful soul and all the more reason for all of us to cherish one another and the time we have left in this life.  Blessings to Jim and his family.
