In Memory

Ann Richman (Camden)

So sad to share with you that our friend and classmate, Anne Richman, passed away on April 19, 2016.
Anne, who became known as Camden Richman, started the Camden Richman Jazz Dance Quartet. With grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, she sought to integrate jazz music and jazz tap percussion. In 1979, her Jazz Tap Ensemble, toured the U.S. and Europe. She danced in Gregory Hines' Tap Dance in America TV series, with Honi Coles at the Smithsonian, and worked with Gregory Hines choreographing the film Cotton Club. In her obituary, it said Anne (Camden) lived with sparkling creativity and loving kindness. I feel bad because I never could locate Anne who was my very dear friend at HHS. She stayed with me each summer during summer drill team practice while her family was in California. She truly was a kind person who loved life.
