After graduation, I continued working in the transportation industry. I've always enjoyed riding horses and living in the Redwine Cove. About 4 years after graduation, I ran into Saba Puryear, who was home from college. We started seeing each other and within a year we were married. Who would have thought a beautiful girl like Saba would end up marrying a "Redneck" like me... She alway's teased me that her daddy sent her to college to marry a "college man" and she came home and married the biggest redneck around. But, we were happy. We have two beautiful children Summer, 18 and Colter, 12. Saba died suddenly in January of 2004 from a cardiac arrythmia of unknown etiology. Her death devastated our family, but we are slowly healing. The children and I are doing very well, although the job of being the dad and the mom has been quite a challenge. Summer just graduated from Southeast and has plans to attend Dalton State for at least her first year. Colter is twelve and is in the Seventh grade at Valley Point Middle School. Currently, he is playing baseball and getting ready for the upcoming football season with regular workouts at the school. He has high hopes of the quarterback position and is working very hard. "Go Green Waves" I still work in the transportation industry, and well, after all this time I guess I'll retire with Roadway. These days, I spend most my time trying to get from work to Colter's ball games and most my spare time (what little there is) is spent working around the house. We do find time occassionally to take a ride on the 4-wheelers, go white water rafting, or just go fish in the pond. Colter really enjoys the outdoors, so I try to enjoy it with him as much as possible. They are grown and gone before you know it...
