Below is a copy of the mailing that went out in mid-March.  If you need a copy of this registration form please print out this page, fill it out and mail along with your check to the address indicated below.  Thank you!

 

Dear DHS 1989 Classmate,

 As this letter goes out it will be almost 20 years since we last gathered as a group.  We were putting together the Senior Show and preparing for graduation.  The Class of 1989 will be holding a 20 year high school reunion on August 21 and August 22, 2009.  This letter is to inform you about the details of the weekend, secure your commitment to attend, and invite you to fill out our classmate survey. 

 We are sending this letter out to as many addresses as we have.  However, we do request your help in spreading the word.  Many of you have already received an e-mail and notification of our website www.classcreator.com/Danville-IL-1989.   We would love to have you go update your profile and information on the Website.  Classmates can also send emails to danvillehigh1989@gmail.com , to request a registration form, submit a classmate survey, or ask a question about the reunion.  We would like to obtain an email address for each classmate so additional communication can be sent electronically, saving time and money.

Friday, August 21, 2009

*Casual gathering at the Turtle Run Club outside patio, weather permitting.                        

Otherwise, we will gather in the lounge from 8:00 pm-?  Food and drink purchases will be on your own.

Saturday, August 22, 2009

*Golf Scramble is planned at Harrison Park to begin at 7:00 am Saturday morning. 

*High School tours are planned for 10 am Saturday morning.  You will be amazed at the changes!

*A Family Picnic is scheduled for noon at the Ambucs Park located at 3900 East Winter Avenue.  Bring your own lunch.  Bad weather will cancel this event.

*Dinner and an evening of festive reminiscing will be held at Turtle Run Club.  The gathering will begin at 6:30 and a buffet dinner at 7:00  pm.  A salad, two entrée choices, 2 side dish choices, salad, bread, dessert, and drinks will be served.  All alcoholic beverages and sodas throughout the evening will be purchased on your own.  There will be plenty of surprises to help us relive our high school days along with a DJ to play some great 80’s songs!

The cost to cover the reunion expenses, the Friday evening gathering, and the Saturday dinner event is $35 per person or $60 per couple.  All alcoholic beverages will be purchased individually.  Anyone interested in playing golf in the scramble should indicate that on the following page.  Tony Graham will be handling the arrangements and will contact you with more information.  Golf will be at your own expense.

 Please return the attached registration form and classmate survey by June 1st.  We would love to hear from you even if you cannot attend.  You may also send your registration form or classmate survey electronically to danvillehigh1989@gmail.com.  We have to receive your check, made payable to the DHS Class of 1989 to confirm dinner reservations.   Once your check is received you will receive an email confirmation.
