SUSAN Craig Scharnberg

Attended University of Iowa 1974-1978. Had the good fortune to meet Gary Moritz there and we married right after my graduation.

Lived in the Des Moines area since college. Worked for the American Lung Association, for Wesley Retirement Services and now for the Iowa Public Television Foundation in fundraising.

Served on the school board in West Des Moines for the past twelve years - so the stories I used to hear at the lunch table on Monday are now the stories I hear at expulsion hearings. Nothing new under the sun in high school behavior!

My husband Gary passed away in 2011. Two years later, I was introduced to Steve Scharnberg by friends. He was widowed in 2012. We were married in 2018.

We have an extended family of three daughters, two son in laws and a daughter in law and 5 grandchildren.
