Married Ron Janus, Jr (Class of '73), June 8, 2001-divorced July 2007. We were together 13 years.
Spent three years trying to keep three of the six murderers of Michelle from getting out on parole of a 50 year sentence after only 13 years.
Jan. 2008 The first of her murderers were released one day before Michelle's 32nd birthday. I crashed and burned. Lost everything: job, home, self-confidence, and moved to Arizona to run away from my problems and from accidently running into Shawn Shewmake. Big mistake. I was back in Davenport within six weeks. I've been in therapy ever since, I've made leaps and bounds within the last few years. I had another slip and married Brian Gillett 12-23-2011 and I am about to be divorced again.
Graduated from SCC with an associate degree in Administrative Office Support in Dec of 2012. I’ve been working part time for Vera French and SCC and just recently earned a full-time position as a Program Coordinator at REM that cares for my mentally and physically challenged children and adults. I’ve made my mistakes, and after losing Michelle it took a long time to realize that it was OK to be happy. I’ve learned how to care about myself and I don’t have to be with a man that wants me to be “sick” so that I would stay with them. It’s odd this e-mail came up now, when I’ve finally in the best “place” in my life since Michelle’s murder. One of the most blessed things that have happened in my life is that Veronica, my 34 daughter, that we thought was unable to have children, is due December 2 with a baby girl that will be named Michelle Marie Anderson, something that we didn’t think was ever going to be possible as she got older.

Since I was married as a senior, Mr Redco had me in his office almost every day. I wasn't pregnant, just stupid for getting married so young. He hated that I could call in sick for myself, and my other issues that we just had power struggles over anything I could. Most of the time he had no choice that I had to win because I was married and my motto was "I’m married and you can't tell me what to do!" Remember his two fingers typing that was so fast, I was impressed. But I have to admit that I send a lot time in Room 207. And I was quite a *itch about a lot of things just because I could. I know now that I screwed myself, but back then it was entertainment, a way to break up my day. Should I feel bad? No, He was one of kind, and if I could get to him, it was a good day. My bad, as they say now.

Probably not, I didn't hold much back. Probably one of the worse traits I've had is being honest. I've found a lot of people don't believe that I'm being honest because they are so used to being dishonest at apporaitate times. Not me, it is what it is, (of course based on my opinion.) This has caused a lot of problems in my life. I wanted/thought others were being honest with me. Way to trusting, I believed people thought the same way I did.
