REUNION INFORMATION

Hey Class of 2001, read on for awesome new details!

Our reunion is almost here! And after a meeting with the owner of The Grad last week to hammer out specifics, we worked out a KILLER deal!

We are having our reunion at The Grad this Saturday, from 6-9pm. The owner would rather have more of us there, and so would we. So.......there is no $30 charge!!!! We get in with a small donation to our DHS Class of 2001 reunion fund. Moreover, from 6-8 we get HAPPY HOUR prices: $4 pitchers of cheap beer, $4 pints of good beer and drinks, and $4 appetizers! Join us for drinks, reminiscing, awards, networking, decade old music to dance or laugh to, getting in touch with old friends, laughing at pictures from back in the day, you get the idea. And no worries, not all the music will be from 2001, we'll have current stuff too.

After 9 we are having a more formal style reunion at the new lounge "Our House". They have fab. cocktails and sliders, and an atmosphere more upscale than The Grad. It's at 808 2nd Street, or where Cafe California used to be.

On Sunday the next afternoon, we will be stirring up our old Jr. high rivalry and have a Class of 2001 Emerson Vs. Holmes softball game!  1 pm at community field (behind DHS and the Library).  BYOB and mitt, but we will have extra equipment just in case :)

Can't wait to see you all soon!

June 14 2011- Update: I am excited to inform you that the reunion WILL be held at the Davis Graduate, many of us grew up there celebrating birthday parties, sport soccer parties and watching the giant screen tv's. I am going back and forth with Danny Cee, to see which of the two days (Friday or Saturday night) during Thanksgiving break will be more appropriate. Ticket costs will range somewhere from $25-$30 apiece. This will include DJ/Dancing, a welcome drink, a class donation to the Blue/White Foundation and appetizers. The bar and kitchen will be open so you can drink with your classmates and enjoy a fabulous Grad burger.

*THE REUNION WILL BE HELD THE SATURDAY OF THANKSGIVING WEEK*

However, with over 500 classmates in our graduating class plus some with their spouses, we are looking at a larger area to hold the reunion. This knocks out many favorite Davis locations. As has been done with many other reunions, there WILL be a capacity limit on tickets sold so keep watching this site for more information. The many locations that have been scouted have very strict fire codes so we must adhere to their wishes and keep the attendence amount legal. .

After paying for all of the expenses, the class is expected to provide a "class gift". Since DHS is building a new stadium, we are able to purchase a bench or some other piece of concrete and put our name/year on it. If there are any funds left over, they will go back into the DHS Class of 2001 Fund held by the DHS Blue & White Foundation and will be used for one of our future reunions. (See the Class Gift Page on this site for more information)

Any additional questions on how funds from Davis High reunions are used, you can contact the Blue and White Foundation at http://www.dhsblueandwhite.org/
