Many of you have asked for the ability to allow individual Classmates to choose whether or not their Profile information is publicly viewable, or available only to fellow Classmates who are logged in. This is now possible. To see the new Profile Visibility settings:

1) Click on Manage Classmates
2) Click Enter/Edit Classmates Manually
3) Click the Profile link next to any Classmate's name
4) Near the bottom of the screen you will see the new "Profile Visibility" option.

We have also added a new field called "Contact Details" that will allow Classmates to display their mailing address and phone number on their Profile if desired -- something that was not previously possible.

These new features will make it possible for some schools to disable the blanket password protection applied on the Classmate Profiles area (which can create difficulties with new Classmates joining the site), as each Classmate now has the ability to restrict Profile visibility regardless of whether you, the Administrator, has chosen to password protect the Classmate Profiles page or not.
