Campbell, Mr. Charles Jr.
age 41, of Dayton, passed away Monday, October 30, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Covington, Kentucky. A native of Long Island, New York. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Jessie Jones, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Gladys Brooks, of Brooklyn, NY; father, Charles Campbell, Sr., of Columbus, OH; 1 brother, Carl Campbell, of Brooklyn, NY; 1 sister, Joyce A. Jones, of Dayton; grandmother, Mary L. Jones; 2 aunts, Janett Jones, Jeanett Jones (John); 3 uncles, Jessie Jones, Jr., Eugene Campbell, Eugene Murphy; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, November 10, 2006 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue. Rev. Dr. Donald Thompson officiating. Visitiation 9 am Friday at the funeral home until the time of service.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Final disposition cremation.

Charles was quiet enough that a lot of people may not remember him. He had a quiet humor, and a quiet presence. I don't think he ever had a negative thing to say about anybody. He really cared about the people around him.

His claim to fame in the electronics class was that he could solve the rubiks cube faster than any of his many challengers.

Mike, thanks for the memories. So, Charles was not only good at the rubiks cube, but really fast... I wish I would've got to see him in action...
