Micheal E. Jones
was born on April 4, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio. He was raised by his mother Flora B. Jones and grandmother Carrie Mae Jones while experiencing the full strength of the village. He departed this life after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at home peacefully. Micheal was a 1983 graduate of Patterson Co-op High School and attended Sinclair Community College. He played football during his High School years. He was a devoted supporter of its alumni activities. Micheal was a longtime employee of Miami Valley Hospital and the Dayton Dialyses Unit located in East Dayton; he was also affiliated with Troop #30 of The Boy Scouts of America. He was our Teddy Bear. Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted mother Flora B. Jones of Dayton, grandmother Carrie Mae Jones, two Brothers Shawn Jones (Josette) of IN, Brandon Jones-Ayers,Sr,. (Jamie) of KY, Uncles Johnnie L. Jones (Dorothy) of Norcross GA., Robert L. (Lois) of Dayton, Ronnie L. Jones (Charlotte) of Dayton and a dear Aunt Jessie Everett of Dayton, his devoted love one Jo Ann Oliver of Dayton. One niece and four nephews; special cousins Timothy Fuller & Anthony Jones of Dayton and Michael Jones, of NY and a host of cousins and friends. Funeral service is Wed. Dec. 5th at 11:00 and the family will receive friend one hour before the funeral at St.Paul Global Ministries; 2010 Germantown St. The Rev. Dr. Beverly Daniels officiating , interments will be at West Memory Gardens.

As most of you know, Micheal and I were very close friends. It was so hard for me to deal with his passing, but I'm glad he isn't suffering any longer. His family are doing as well as can expected, and I keep in touch with his mom from time to time.Here's the obiturary:
