We used to play in the cemetary all the time. Of course this did not help with my vampire fear.
One Halloween when I was about 5 or 6 years old, my brothers made this elaborate scene out on the front lawn to scare everyone. They made a coffin and had their friend dressed as Dracula and he would slowly creep out of it when someone walked by. They had constructed a guillotine with a fake head that would fall into a basket when the "blade" fell. I was terrified to leave the house even with my dad. It seriously delayed my candy hull.

Penny was hot. So was Micky Dolenze from the Monkeys. Everyone liked that crazy Davy Jones. Not me, give me the drummer any day.

Now see Trac I would have loved that! As long as an animal was not hurt or displayed as hurt in the making...I was all good!

Oh Mickey was my favorite...the whole not liking blonde's thing. I loved his curly hair the best.

I used to hang in cemetaries all the time as a teen. Get drunk tell, talk to the dead, & even made out a couple of times...NO NOT w/the dead guy either...well his mind was gone that was about it! ROFL

My kids have the whole day off school because yesterday was the last day of the marking period. It's absolutely gorgeous outside. We have the windows open. We made caramel apples.
Do any of you remember those funky Halloween costumes that came out when we were kids? They had this inflatable head that you blew up and wore on your head. I don't remember the name of them but my neighbors wore them and one of them was called Bone-Head, which we continued to call him well after Halloween was over.

Oh no, I liked the robot the best, & the crazy doctor guy. He looked like Vincent Price but skinner! Loved me some Price, but also love me so Poe!

Oh I do remember those stupid costumes! We went to Detroit Historical Museum on Sunday & there was a couple of inflatables costumes there, but they were cute. One guy was a Sumo wrester, the other a fat doctor.

For anyone that has been down Madison heading to Van Born, you will know that there is a major S-curve in the road to get around the cemetary. Well, like I said before,I lived three doors down from there and on many a rainy night we would be inside watching tv and here some car full of kids come flying down the street and get to the S-curve. Again rainy nights and drunk kids in too fast cars makes for interestig combination. We could here the skidding and wait for the crash. Most of the time there was no crash but on several occasions there was so we would jump up from the living room and look out the front and see all these kids throwing bottles into the cemetary followed by cops with flashlights looking through the fence into the cemetary looking for those same bottles. Really wrecked some nice cars.

And yes it is so beautiful out now! I hope it stays that way! I remember like 3-4 years back it was gorgeous out in the 70's all day, and about 15 minutes before we were getting ready to walk out the door...a fu**en cold front came...cold as hell. It would of been my babies 1st Halloween, but I refused to take him out it was that cold!

Oh tonight I will be walking the streets turning tricks, opps I mean watchin' trick or treat! My lame ass still dresses up w/the kids! I bought a awesome cape like 18 years ago, & am a witch every year! Or a vampire...but since the kids...am a witch, tell them mommy is dressing her real part in life.

Last night while I was in school, Bill encouraged the boys to sneak over to their friends houses and tp their yards! When the cat's away......My youngest, Thomas (10) felt so guilty that HE LEFT A NOTE!! I have such innocent kids. I hope the world doesn't eat them alive as adults. Anyway, Bill told them they should do it but if they get caught they were not to mention his name as he would denie any involvement.

Oh Tracy...your hubby sounds fun! I have the same thing...my 10 year old honor roll daughter...is like not got a bad bone in her body. I say she has all the book smart in the world, but street smarts is not there. What messes her up the most...other females...the status thing, the lying stuff, or pretending to be something your not...really blows heir mind. I have the same fear you have of her being victimized. If my writing starts to look really odd compared to the average typos & mis-spellings...it's my baby trying to help me type.

Oh I got her good...I loved doing this when I first got cable...so Bill & Terri might have been my victims to this.... I learned that the controlers worked on all boxes. So I would go changing channels on people in the middle of the night for fun. I got Shelly good...her parents were out (& I mean out of it) & she & Mcihele Thornton were watchin' Children of the Corn...or Cujo, one of those 2 movies they played to death...& I was messin' her channels. Me & Angie Southworth...had them screaming!

Robert mentioned KISS showing up in his room at night. Best Halloween costume for me ever was the year Me, my sister Tricia, Michelle Shear(my neighbor)and the boy from across the street dressed up as KISS. I was Paul Stanley, Tricia was Peter Criss, Michelle was Gene Simmons and Kevin was Ace Fraley. I have a photo of us I should post it to my profile. My mom and Gran painted our faces and Gran crocehed these black hoody things to wear on our heads so you couldn't see our hair. I was like TEN years old or something crazy.

The Vampire State Building

Wow...that would of been cool! KISS was my first rock album. I so miss my childhood pictures...I could kick myself in the ass for having all the photo albums & yearbook in the basement. I am really anal about pix now, either I get totally the "why bother" or I get triplicate, the biggest package or whatever of pix...So I will have like a 8 month gap of no pix, then the same pix for the next 8 months all over.
