OMG, my head itches so bad from all the hair spray I used last night! Seriously...how did we surive the itch! I think I totally dehydrated my hair & scalp!

Tara, thanks for telling me about Kooky Spooks! I Googled it and it is hilarious. I can't wait to show my sister,Tricia. She'll get a kick out of it.
Our Halloween was rather uneventful. Bradley went to a friend's house over in Linden and Thomas had a friend stay overnight. I can't remember a nicer evening, the temps were nice. The boys were in and out of their costumes so quickly that I didn't even get a decent picture of them. Every house we went to the homeowners were outside and a bunch of them had their houses decorated and a few played spooky music. Pretty good haul with the candy, too. Should be picking up wrappers around the house for at least a week and a half.

Does anyone remember the "Crazy Lady Pantyhose" commercial that used to run when we were kids? I found it on you-tube the other day after years of telling my husband about it. (he's from south bend,IN) I didn't remember before seeing it on you-tube but it was for Buff Whelon Chevrolet so it was strictly a Metro Detroit thing. Are you crazy lady? reply: Crazy Lady! Crazy Lady Pantyhose? I just Bought Some!
My sister and I thought it was hilarious.

I can't believe there have only been 4 or 5 us posting on this site, and I don't want to hear 'some of us have jobs or a life'.

Minimize the board at work or at home, and post. It takes less than one or two minutes. So, get a life and participate.

Congratulations on anther Lions loss. They suck! Unfortunately, I am still a huge fan.

Oh I was watchin' TV this weekend, & I heard someone refer to Devil's Night as Michief night! I was completely shocked...I can not remember what I was watchin' but maybe Michigan is making a bad impact?

Boy that was kind of negetive. I'm really in a good mood. Just home from the gym and all pumped up. Lovely weather we're having this week.

I love this weather too. It is kinda romantic & spooky all in one. I worry it's a sign of a bad winter! There I go w/the negativity. Never been a fan of football, even when I was a cheerleader for flag football...love to scream, hate the sport! Hockey is where it's at.

I come from a hockey family. My dad coached my brother's teams. All three brothers played, two of them well into adulthood. My bro Mark played on an adult league about 10 years ago and the league played a charity event against Gordie Howe, Sid Able and a bunch of old timers. It was a thrill for everyone.
When my dad was diagnosed with cancer and the doctor told him he was too old to operate (he was 76)and gave him about six or seven monthes to live my mom was all upset and he wasn't. When she asked him why he said something about if he could just live through another season of watching the Wings, he'd be o.k. with that. Turns out one evening in November 2005, he was at home watching a game when he passed out. He was dead the next day. I think that is the coolest thing ever and so much like my dad. Died doing what he loved. We should all be that lucky.

Hey Dan, Kate looks great as Leia!

Yes great pix of Princess Kate. I was just telling my hubby how we pass down our childhood memories, thoughts...likes onto our children. My boys are comic book fans, they also like Star Wars. One boy was Bummble Bee (transformer), the other was Wolverine (X-men). I am so mad at myself, the batteries in camera were dead. We get technology that allows us not to worry about film, & now the batteries tend to be the issue.

Tracy, I lost both my parents...I wish I had peaceful thoughts like that. My dad would of loved to pass after a football game or Nascar race. Now my mom did pass quietly away in her home, in Florida...I was on my way down in Tennesse when she passed. But honestly...if I couldn't of been w/her, on the road to Florida we had some of our best experiences...So I am wrong...I had 2nd best possible passing experience w/mom. We so loved the Tennesee part of the drive...once it got dark out...I actually felt like I had the dome light on in the car, kept looking to see if it was on...it was her!

Anyone excited about Tomorrow? Voting day and all.

I was living in China and on vacation in New Zealand when my sister Tricia called to tell me about dad passing. I was crying in the bathroom, away from the kids when I heard a bird outside the window start to sing and I instantly stopped crying. I don't know if it was him but something about that bird made me feel like dad was in a good place and that I didn't have to feel sad. There's no getting home in a hurry from that far away. I knew when we left to move overseas in August that year, he died in Nov, that it was the last time I would ever see him. It was hard to leave. He didn't want a funeral so I didn't return home until December for Christmas. It was odd to go home and not have him there. I don't think the ones we love ever really leave us. They are like guides, always there if we need them.

I'm excited about the turn out. It's very encouraging. My sister-in-law lives in N.C. and she voted early on Thursday and said it was posted that 40% of N.C. residents had already voted.

Tracy, neither of my parents wanted funerals either, it was straight to cremation for both. Although I did get to see both of them before cremation. And you know what I hate more than anything...when people say it will get better or easier...they are our parents...it should always be the same pain as the day we found out! We just re-learn to live life w/out them. It's the hardest thing, it is expected, suppose to happen, but it is never easy! Both my parents birthdays are in October...so they have been heavily in my thoughts.

My sister is still having a difficult time with dad being gone. He was her favorite guy. She was with him when he died and I wish more than anything I could have been there for her. This thanksgiving nov 28 will be the day he died three years ago. Going to be tough on her. I miss him especially when we all get together like for hockey or holidays.

I have always loved are right to vote, loved election day! But this time, I just can't wait for it to be over! I don't care who you want to win...you got to admit that this has been the worse ball busting, mud slinging campaigning I have ever seen.

Tracy, My mom died April 26th 2005, my dad June 28th 2007, 2 years, 2 months & 2 days apart. I was my parents only child together, from my mom I have 2 sisters, from my dad 1 brother...none of them really got along. I was the only one who was extremely close w/them. My brother didn't even speak w/my father for like 4 years before he died, & one of my sisters didn't speak w/my mom for over 10 years. Your sister is lucky to have you as you are to have her!

Honestly...Poor Hilary is still recovery from her roll in the mud. The woman didn't even get into fights like that when she was in jr. high...to much testosterone (spelt wrong, I'm sure) to of ever been in girl name calling clubs.
