Full moon combined with food additives and all the other crap in our food and water that the FDA doesn't want us to know about. (Sound like Hyde from That 70's Show)That's what making everyone trip out.

I'm hot gluing a baby to foam core board right now.

It's my son's native american diarama, Ojibwa Tribe, that needs the hot glue.

Oh I was hoping it was a new disciplinary approach for children...I'm always looking for new experimental efforts to punish my children. ROFL Sorry I new hardcore raw dark humor. NO more seriousness damn it...my head is going to explode.

Remember as a kid they'd tell ya to write ya feeling down & you feel much better...I use internet for that...and as a form of venting...escape. Now that will be the 12 step program that I can lead as an experienced user!

Stop!

We were talking about partying and drug-addicted chicks, and now it's about the children, environment, and therapy. No more.

Ladies: Lieberman or Biden?

Wallace and I went to Metallica in '94 and Clara wanted to go w/ us. We were dating for about 8 months; hated my music; and was warned! I told her what was going to happen during 'Creeping Death': 20,000 dudes yelling 'die, die...!'. It didn't seem to matter...until it actually started. She was freaked and wanted to go home. She thought we were in hell.

Are you refering to as in looks or politics? Cuz looks I'd do Biden first, as for politics...I think Lieberman.

Ok you shared...My most embrassing momment of my party days...I was playing some drinking game in someone trailer in their back yard...I think Screw your neighbor cuz cards were involved...So anyhow w/the most intelligent of thoughts...were playing w/Vodka...well the I was sitting next to this guy, we were flirting, playing footies...Well I start budging him..saying ok sweetness your gonna have to move...he's doin' the why you gotta pee, the room is now spinning for me...I went to answer & threw up all over him, the cards & myself. So anyhow...He gets me a blanket, I under dress..he going to watch my clothes for me...Now this whole time is Mom is in the house sleeping...Well he goes in, puts the clothes in the washer, comes back...flirts & my ass continues to play for drinking games...so when it comes to the dryer cycle, he ends up going in & never coming back out. So here I am, I am w/a girl friend too, stuck not able to leave cuz to drunk but no clothes...So about 8am in the morning his mom comes in the trailer calling me all sorts of sluts, whore, & other nice church words...Tell me to get dress & leave...I now have to explain my clothes are in her dryer...so her son appears & tells me to come in...she yelling & screaming, he is ignoring her...So I get dress in the bathroom to come out & meet Dad who just got home from work...The best part...He's all nice & shit...& explains that he works w/my step dad. And then the wife/mom gets all nice too me. I was in the horror twillight zone from hell.

And hey now...no politics...this is a safe haven from seriousiness...plus I'm routing for the less popular team this time.

The new popcrunch of this week! Was great! Robert have you seen it? We could totally do this show. But Sarah East is Hot! & funny. And another I recommend is her working the MTV red carpet...TO FUNNY!

So while I am in the pouring down rain, picking apples...I guess it's better then bees. I will be thinking of all of you, sitting, having a great chat w/out me...& being jealous. But I will be anticipating my return to read many post & responding ASAP in the early evening...I'll even put off dinner...So make them good. Gonna miss yas...& Robert check out popcrunch!

I watched the 1st minute of 'popcrunch' and it's very funny. I was getting nervous w/ the content, so I'll watch the rest from home. I'm not a prude, but don't want a call from IT. Speaking of...Clara worked in HR for Pfizer before we moved to PA. They had an executive that would visit XXX websites from home on his company-issued laptop. He was warned, but couldn't control himself, and did it again! He was married w/ children...and lost his job. Idiot.

Wallace: I forgot about half of those bands and incidents. I still love Lynch Mob (I've got that wicked sensation!). Didn't one of the dudes in Marshall Law look like Derrick Smalls from Spinal Tap? One of the best moments was when the lead singer from Stick was talking to us from the stage: 'Hey weren't you the guys drinking outside in the truck?'. Of course, we went nuts...after about 15 ($1) Rolling Rocks.

I do remember the snow storm. I'll tell the story later about a girl I met the night we stayed at the Westin. We went on one date and I never saw her again.

Hooker-Where did Clara work for Pfizer? Just wondering, since I live in the land that was once dominated by Upjohn/Pharmacia/Pfizer...Oh, and you went to MSU right? Do you remember the awful cable-access MSU student comedy show, cleverly entitled, "The Show"?

I think I was woefully disconnected from the music of high school! I haven't heard of a lot of the bands that have been mentioned. As Tracey reminded me, I was too busy constantly listening to U2....and The Cure and The Smiths, etc., etc., etc. I used to sit in the kitchen doing my homework for Dummer's class while listening to the "alternative" radio show at HFCC!

Kathleen is in the house!

Clara went to State, then transferred to Eastern. She interned for Parke-Davis (then Warner Lambert) in '94/'95, then was hired in and worked through most of 2003. She worked at the Ann Arbor campus.

I don't remember 'the show', but a couple of my classes were taped each week and I was able to watch all of them on one of the cable channels each Sunday night. I went to Advertising 205 on the 1st day, and didn't go back until the final exam. It was funny because the instructor was like a celebrity to me (from watching him on tv). I almost asked for his autograph.

My sister lived for The Cure, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb (?), etc. Didn't we call these kids, 'squids'?

I love Fascination Street and Red Hill Mining Town.

10/16/08 09:54 AM #35

Kathleen Robertson (King)

Was your sister older or younger? Becca North and Michele Thompson and I talked music, but it didn't feel like there were many who liked the stuff we did. The Cure is actually back. The college students I work with actually think I'm cool because I know who they are, so I guess it all paid off! I certainly wasn't cool back in the day!

Parke-Davis in Ann Arbor makes sense. When you live in Kalamazoo, the pharmaceutical companies seem to dominate everything, though that is beginning to change.

And, hey, I'm heading to NYC in March. Since you've been there recently, what restaurant shouldn't I miss? Keep in mind I work for a non-profit, so it can't be at the Four Seasons or The Plaza!

Stacy was younger and graduated from Crestwood in '92. We moved in '90.

There are many, but my favorites are Tony's (or Tony Di Napli's) and Mad Dog & Beans. Tony's is a great Italian restaurant that serves everything, 'family style'. It's on 43rd Street near Times Square.

Mad Dog & Beans is excellent. It's a nicer Mexican restaurant located in the Financial District (83 Pearl Street) - about 3 blocks from Wall Street. It's more expensive.

Visit Rockefeller Plaza (50th and 5th) - lots of good restaurants.

Don't stay at the Central Park West Comfort Inn! - I'll explain later.

Kathleen Robertson (King)

Thanks for the recommendations on restaurants. I love Mexican, so I'll definitely go to that one, especially if they have good margaritas! I'll stay from the hotel you mentioned, though I'm afraid to know why. I've stayed in a roach motel or two, and would rather not re-visit them! My husband and I stayed at a place in Paris that was pretty scary, but that was more than a decade ago, we were broke, and we were in Paris, so we didn't care! So, I'll await your story! I don't usually stay in midtown...I like the upper west side.

10/16/08 10:47 AM #38

Kathleen Robertson (King)

Okay, thanks, Dan. I'll be there only for a few days, but I like to do all new things, since I only get there every 2 years or so! Now I have 3 places on my list! I don't think I'd want to live in such a large city, but boy, do I love visiting them!

BTW Dan, my Mom was really glad you even remembered her :>) I told her she's pretty memorable!

Stay w/ Wallace.

Anyone remember Mrs. Santoro? Every time I write a sentence, I think of her. And, she sold candy out of her drawer. Ever wonder how much she made each year? I tried not to buy it out of principle, but sometimes, I just needed m&ms....

Me and the 14 college students I'm bringing? That might be a bit much!

Kathy...I remember doing oral book reports in her class...There were several times when I didn't read the book and had to look at the cover and make up some stuff...Some of my imaginary stories were pretty damn good if you ask me.

10/16/08 12:21 PM #43

Kathleen Robertson (King)

I remember those reports, too. And, I bet your stories were a whole lot better than a lot of what we read! I don't remember which hour I had that class, but Sue Kriska sat behind me.

I'm back for a second...

Didn't we have to stand up in front of the podium (or lectern)?
