12/05/08 10:59 PM #1274     Gwen Norman (Martin) Birmingham is like 3 hours--I live 45 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. Right on the Florida / Alabama line. But, the offer still stands--it is hard to be where you have no family especially if you come from a big family. My hubby is an only child, his Mom is and only child so there is no family here.

Just a theory...It seems like yesterday always looks better hindsight!?! Example the "good ole days" didn't seem as good when they were happening!?! Don't get me wrong...I love trying to live in the moment & appreicate what I have...but it always seems easier tomorrow...lol

12/05/08 11:58 PM #1285     Tara Wismar (Nickell) I guess I am done carrying "baby weight" so time to join the gym AGAIN and get it taken care of. Last time it only took a few months, I guess I shouldn't have taken three years off this time around. I actually grabbed a pair of John's jeans and thought they were mine, that did it. My hubby has lost so much weight in the last year that my mother in law is constantly worried he is sick, I don't dare tell her that I just don't feed him, lol! He does look good, though! If he doesn't make it home by 1 tonight, he will be real skinny because he won't be having dinner here for a couple weeks. He is at Henry (Hank) Harris' house playing poker with all his high school buddies, while I sit at home with two kids that just went to bed because they miss their daddy! Actually, I sit at home 24/7 with 2 kids that miss their daddy, while he is at work or at his mom's! Don;t get me wrong, I love my kids more than life itself and I love being able to stay home with them, but I would love to have just one night alone with my skinny hubby! I wanted him to take one day, just one, off so we could get all the shopping done and go out to dinner, he said he couldn't but he made time to go out tonight. Like I ranted before, it has been years since I have been able to go out with the girls. Gonna hop in the shower now before one of the kids wake up and pop in the Sex and the City movie! Have a great wekend everyone!

I have been at home since June, hated it, started a new job Tuesday, & miss being home. Like I said, yesterday always looks better. I ain't been one of the girls since 2002! I've been a walking burp rag, seriously...they are all over age of 4 & they wash their hands & come & wipe there hands on my shirt & well as the dirt off their faces. Only my almost 11 not dare try it...she does have some common sense.

I see more posts from April, which means she is still into grabbing the spotlight! And yes, I did mean MI people. Mentally impaired people are "tards" remember?!? Although I think now that I am older, that's not PC. Anyway... You being a social worker still has me laughing, however, I guess when people come up with wild and crazy stories about how they are getting psychotic on someone, you can reflect back and say "I've been there myself"! LOL All kidding aside, good to see all of the names on these posts and remembering the good times. Chris, I used to love walking up to peoples front windows at night and changing channels with the ON TV remote. Have a great weekend everyone! Marc

That's why we have a love/hate relationship still to this day. Psychos united...LOL Just wait you'll see what psychosis is when your daughter is tween to teen.

It is who I am, I don't like to be in the spotlight by any means, I actually do really bad w/public speaking believe it or not. Small groups not a problem. I can go into anywhere & get into a conversation about anything with anyone. I like conversation that is my curse.

I am using them to make deviled eggs for my daughter's school xmas party. Just wanted to let you know they didn't go to waste...they may turn into gas waste when the kids get through eating them...lol Nothing smells worse then deviled egg farts, but they just taste so good.
