Gwen Norman (Martin)

April,

Wal-Mart lets us make debits greater than $500--Our bank has a fail safe system that I think is a $500.00 limit. But, to hit the $500 is has to be at different retailers. If I go to Wal-Mart and spend $600 + they always let me do it. But ,it is a Visa debit card and we have over draft protection through the credit union.

Gwen, Now I have made $800 purchases at Walmart on my regular old ATN debit card in the past w/no problems. But twice since just before Halloween they have given me shit. First time just walked away w/my tail between my legs. 2nd time I just had to find out why! Now my Debit w/allow up to $1000 in debit use, & $200 a day in cash. My credit union I also have overdraft protection upto $800, my hubby had just been paid the day before, there was NO REASON I sould of been declined for this purchase. But Walmart Customer complain unit said that they had put a limit on amount. Now I don't know if that is all Walmarts, just Michigan or just the Taylor, or Detroit area. All I know is that the damn cashiers should know what is going on, not blame my credit union, nor look at me like I was trying to pull a scam!
I just can't believe how it totally messed up my holiday spirit.

You're on an island and you only get to bring 5 albums and watch 3 television shows (includes the classics).

12/15/08 08:42 PM #1374

April Passen (Ochman)

12/15/08 08:49 PM #1376

April Passen (Ochman)

Pst...Robert they aren't stamps anymore, they are on a card, I think it's a EBT? even though everyone still calls thems stamps.

12/15/08 08:51 PM #1377

Robert Hooker

That's great. When I was a kid, I thought food stamps were the greatest. Fortunately, we didn't use (or need) them, but I thought it was a pretty neat concept: free food. Do you remember the 'no brand' food from Farmer Jack? I remember my dad bringing home 'government cheese'. I have no idea how he got his hands on it, but it was real good!

12/15/08 08:53 PM #1378

Robert Hooker

Very cool. It would be tough to decide, but I would probably go w/...

Leave it to Beaver
Brady Bunch
Happy Days

I need to really think about the albums.

Oh me & my ex use to talk about the Focus Hope Cheese. He had a neighbor who had recieved it, & he use to say he was only friends w/him for the grill cheeses his mother would make...lol My sisters got knocked up early & got that shit. It was for the not enough poor to get it. From what I understand, focus hope don't pass out that cheese anymore, nor any other foods. You have WIC now, where you get this like punch card to get some free items, again the not poor enough for food stamps folks.

12/15/08 08:55 PM #1380

April Passen (Ochman)

And when I say ex, I mean boyfriend...only married once, & hope he never wises up & don't let me rule the roost.

12/15/08 08:59 PM #1382

April Passen (Ochman)

Oh I l,ove Fringe! It's kinda like my invasion. Now Robert for the oldies, Nick @ night burnt me out w/those, but not...ALL in the Family! That was classic exceptable racist TV of the day. I can not believe it was ever allowed to be shown. Today it is just more funny, because it is grounds for suing, recalling, striking, mass bitching!

Shannon Krych (Hofer)

Shannon Krych (Hofer)

Well that is why they created the mute key right... :)

12/15/08 09:07 PM #1387

Robert Hooker

After reading Shannon's list, I went straight to I-Tunes and cranked up 'Figured You Out' and 'Should've Listened'. Solid.

This is a tough one...

Pantera Live: 101 Proof
Led Zeppelin: Houses of the Holy
Barry Manilow Live: 1977
Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon
Alice in Chains: Facelift

12/15/08 09:09 PM #1388

April Passen (Ochman)

Never thought about that? Or using it either! I am just the kinda put it out their kinda person...ROFL

Robert your hard time w/5 albums is the struggle I had w/TV shows. Now from like 1988 to 1998, I didn't watch any TV but hockey, now I can't imagine life w/out it. Oh that reminds me...I love the new Life drama really really well too.

12/15/08 09:10 PM #1389

Shannon Krych (Hofer)

Robert- go to i tunes and check out "Something in your Mouth" and "Burn It to the Ground" I got to work every morning cranking Dark Horse.

12/15/08 09:12 PM #1391

April Passen (Ochman)

Now I haven't heard the new album. But the one sounds similar to Animal.

12/15/08 09:12 PM #1392

Robert Hooker

Honest to God, I'm not making this up. I bought the 7th and final season of the Golden Girls yesterday. THIS is the greatest show of all time. I had Bea Arthur as my screen saver for about 8 months, last year.

12/15/08 09:14 PM #1393
