Top Five Albums is tough:

1. Rush/Chronicles (rock)

2. John Denver/Rocky Mountain Collection (country/folk)

3. Annie Lennox/Bare (female empowerment)

4. Mary J Blige/Growing Pains (dance music)

5. Andrea Bocelli/Romanza (culture)

I can do without the tv. Can I have more album choices in its place?

12/16/08 07:48 AM #1447

Robert Hooker

Yes, and we'll reward you w/ 5 more album choices, in lieu of not being a 'tv watcher'.

Can I be on Dan's island too? I will bring my albums. I like his choices especially The Who and the Beatles. I also love MASH and The Office.

How 'bout it Dan? Plus Robert says I can have 5 more album choices!

All in the Family was good too. I would love to see that show again. I wonder why they don't show it on the oldies station?

They still show it on saturday morning on tv land. The topics are very relevant to today: financial crisis, civil rights, politics, an unpopular war.

I bought a DVD called "holiday treats" last week. It has christmas shows from I love Lucy, the honeymooners and more. The one I forgot was Family Ties ala the Christmas Carol. That Alex really was a little creep until he had his eyes opened by those ghosts of Jennifer and Mallory.

I got to stay home today, Kate has a touch of the pneumonia. She says she has "amonia", kids say the stupidest things. She is going back to school tomorrow and so am I.

My Obama comment was sarcasm. I loved the exit poll interviews that had people saying they voted for him because he was going to help them pay their mortgages and credit card bills.

I so love Michael J Fox, so impressional! Now talking way way oldies, I love the George Burns/Gracie Allen Show! They were so great together!

Kids do say the darnest things! That was a pretty cool show itself! Least you daughter don't know the reference "the F word" my kindergartener said something yesterday day about it. I just left it alone. Didn't want to put an emphasis on it! All though it's funny the kid don't know the rest of his alphabet!

Tracey I seen no Tina on that? Are you Tinaed out?

I thought it might of been a little scarism! I don't know if Jesus himself could help with the way things are going! Well the good thing is the worse it gets, the more need for my profession! But then I'm sure if it keeps getting much worse, I pay scale will go down!

I know all the lyrics to Tina's music.

I have a virtual jukebox in my head so I tried to choose music that I'm not 100% sure of the lyrics.

It's snowing here. Small specs but lots & lots of them. Already about 3 inches since 5pm.

Tracey I never had you in any of my classes either! Wow, that is so hard to believe. Now didn't Ms. Browning teach another grade when we combined? I remember wishing I had her.

Not going to comment on the weather :-). I don't wanna get my a@@ kicked. Anyway we now have 4 puppies. But, they are fat, spunky little things-I figured out that they were preemies so we did pretty good.

I started at Pardee in the third grade. I went to Lowrey in Dearborn because I qualified for physical therapy and it was not available @D7 schools. Yes, I rode the the "special" bus. I started that program when I was 4 and I still have journal from pre-school.

Here are teachers and some stuff I believe to be notable:
3rd- Trame (Laura Loftis got stung by a bee)(Brian Hardy O'Bara and I used to catch grasshoppers during recess. Remember the big tree between the track and the school?
4th- Bickness (she slapped me on the back of the head and my Tiger's hat fell off)(Rich Haskell was in that class)
5th- Diller (She was the poster child for valium) I sat in front of Tara Wismar.
6th- Weidendorf (she loved those Greek gods, often quoted as saying "OH, ZEUS!") This class I sat in front of Ulrich and was amazed the first time she told me all the names of her siblings. I wore my favorite jeans 4 out of 5 days a week for the entire year. I think they made it in the wash every other week.

7th Grade - Chris Romas became my best friend 4-ever.(love you Johnny Cakes!)
We loved sitting behind Macek and Ulrich and entertaining them.

Dan...I was in your 4th & 5th class. 4th grade was my roller skating birthday party. I'm sure you were invited! I remember Haskill having wet pants, screaming he did not piss him self, telling off Ms. Bicknese & leaving the building after his rant!
5th grade I know what ya mean about Ms. Diller, I use to turn in old/already graded papers as the assignment we were supose to of just done to be able to get out for recess...she never said a thing to me about it!

I don't remember what grade, but I do remember collecting crickets in a plastic baggy. I loved these crickets! I don't remember who but some boy grabbed my bagged & jumped on my crickets. Sadly enough, I think it might of been in the 5th grade, cuz it seemed like it was me & Shelly Hallup collecting them. I never meet her till the 5th grade, I believe she had just moved to DH from Wasteland. Explains alot about her brother & parents coming from Wasteland doesn't it!

April Passen (Ochman)

Robert...I think you might remember in 6th grade me & Shelly got into a fight in the hallway. You were routing on Shelly, of course cuz she was in your class. It was at the water fountain by your class.
She had told everyone my mom worked at a topless bar, so I told her she was a daughter of a bitch! So she pulled my little pony tail while I was bending over to get a drink from the fountain when she grabed it, so I reached around & started pulling her hair back. Just about the time I cocked back my fist, Mr. Lugwig grabbed my hand & stopped me from punching her. We were both taken to the office where I first meet Mr. Porchia. It was yelling & screaming at me, & saying Miss. Hallup I am so shocked at you, this is not like you. All I could think is...Do you know who her brother is? Why you being nice to her, & so mean to me. Then we he seen my mom & who she was (he had a run in w/her over my sister, who had a different last name then me) the whole thing changed. He wasn't suppending me, but sending me home because he could tell I was shaken up by the experience! Bullshit!!! He was an asshole!

Dan used to sit behind me and pick the fuzzies off my angora sweater as if they were not supposed to be there.
