April,

Scary to think I was 2 classes shy of a minor in religion. People are uneasy about the Satanist talk because they do not know where they stand with God. If you are a true believer Satanist do not scare you...you pity them; if you are not walking as closley as you should . . .they scare you because you know that you have done wrong and fear that you may follow them. Now, songs that glorify that type of life even if it is a parody or satire a little too rough for me...

As Forrest would say...And that's all I have to say about that.

You are absolutly correct. They carried the posies in their pockets to quell the stench. They had to burn the bodies because of the virus.

Wow! So quiet!

I was thinking the same thing Tara. April? Everything ok?

Absolutely Michele! I got my puppy, oh I mean BreAnna's puppy!!! Yeah! She is so darn sweet! I have not been on since Friday, I've been very busy working, & playing with the puppy...LOL When you put shit off it all catches up to you.

I actually have to get out & see a few more people today, & this evening I have the damn Ice Skating board meeting, which should be very interesting...we have another all members meeting on Thursday & I don't even know if we are prepared or not!

Robert still waiting to hear your story??? And actually the nursey rhyme is about the plaque, not many people are aware of that. Here we all held hands & sang about death as children, how sweet is that.

I will try to get back on later today, if not tomorrow.

Is the nursery rhyme about the plague or plaque?

Once in awhile I use Metallica's "Creeping Death" to talk about the Hebrews enslavement by the Egyptians.

I'm not trying to be a jack ass, but you are a modern-day (and hipper) Gabe Kotter.

Do kids today even know who Metallica is?

01/13/09 10:44 PM #1779

Gwen Norman (Martin)

mine do.....

01/14/09 01:59 PM #1780

April Passen (Ochman)

Smart ass you are, yes it's plague!

My 11 year old knows is Metallica, but then her father worships them so I don't know if that counts? But I would think depending on if the parents like Metallica & the kid is into Rock, that Metallica would kinda be like the Beatles were to us? And Elvis is just linked to the scarey white guy who claims to be black. How confused are poor children must be. I actually was with my daughter when she found out Michael Jackson is black, she just could not understand.

I get some really cool kids that explore the music we have discussed. The web provides so much access that they fill their I-Pods with stuff and really know alot about the bands. We had it rough, radio and buying our music at real stores limited us on our exploration.

Yes, most of my kids appreciate the fact that I am a regular guy making a living at something I like.
I do have my share of sweathogs and Mr. Woodmans.

Our schools need more teachers like you Dan. Your kids will remember you far into adulthood. I feel teachers are one of most important influences in our kids lives and do not get enough kudos (or pay) for what they do.

So from me to you Dan, thanks for taking care of the next generation. We really need you!

I have been listening to The Four Horseman (Live '89) non-stop for the past two hours.

Time
Has taken its toll on you
The lines that crack your face
Famine
Your body it has torn through
Withered in every place
Pestilence
For what you have had to endure
And what you have put others through
Death
Deliverance for you for sure
There is nothing you can do

Hi everyone. Been busy this week. My husband left me for his mistress (Europe) for two weeks and when he travels I get so much done around the house.

He left Sunday and we already have a new living room. The basement storeroom is next.

I hit a pothole Monday and bent the wheel on my car. It's the first time I've ever had to change a flat. Glad to know I can do it. Fortunately I was not on the highway at the time as it was where I was heading. Glad the spare was properly inflated.

Robert, too many "dark" lyrics may lead to anxiety and you have two daughters to raise. Try listening to some ABBA or Carpenters once in a while. Or how about Barry Manilow, you once said you like him.

Just watching your back, man. Need you around to announce everyones arrivial at the next reunion!

Hey, I just read that Mr. Roarke(Ricardo Montalban)has passed away. Has anyone seen Fantasy Island lately?

01/15/09 07:03 PM #1786

Robert Hooker

I still love Barry Manilow and even receive weekly e-mails from the fan club (honest to God). I just like to rock!

It's very sad about Mr Rourke. Is Tatoo still alive?

I don't know. I don't think little people live too long.

Hey Dan, what's going on in NYC? Planes are not boats!

01/16/09 09:09 AM #1789

Tracey Ulrich (Dawson)

Distant whistling..........(crickets chirping)

"Hello???" (echoes)

"Anyone there???" (more echoes)

I'm here working in Rochester NY and it's cold.

I'm still listening to Metallica. It's been 'seek and destroy' all morning. The plane in the Hudson was creepy. I flew US Air each week from Pittsburgh to NYC for about 18 months.

Our brains are on fire
with the feeling to kill
And it won't go away
'til our dreams are fulfilled
There is only one thing on our minds
Don’t try running away
`cause you’re the one we will find

Tattoo died in 1993. He was 50 years old.

Le Plane!

Here's a tip for any of you DIY'ers:
Be sure that the hollow wall anchor is properly fastened BEFORE hanging the 65lb mirror on it!
(go ahead, ask me how I know)
Also, better to not hang heavy mirrors at 12:30am after a full day of painting and moving furniture. Wait until morning when you are fresh and have the stamina.

I think I need some Manilow! Better check the hard drive and see if he's on there.

Tattoo shot himself in the head. I guess he was tired of being kicked around like a midget.

I called and asked US Airways if the Hudson River will be a regular stop on the way to Charlotte. They just hung up on me.
