Well shortly after high school I had my first son, married my sweetheart and was derailed from the college path. I became a stay-at-home mom for a number of years before becoming a professional sign language interpreter (when my youngest son was 3) and jumping back into work mode. During this phase of my life, I started going back to school part time and eventually obtained an accounting degree and became a CPA.
It's funny how things do come a full circle. In May, we moved to Ann Arbor; however, prior to that we lived in the Dearborn area for the past 12 years. My oldest son has just graduated from Divine Child High! Imagine meeting with Mrs. Higgins-Luthman as a parent...it just felt so odd! I am very proud of him.
