Amy Southern Shirey

After attending Auburn University and getting my master's degree in Special Education I moved to Georgia. I taught in a small town in north Georgia for 1 year, got married to my husband who I met at Auburn and then we moved to Atlanta. We lived in Atlanta until 2002 when we moved back to Alabama. We decided that we wanted to raise our kids in Alabama. We built a house about a mile passed Brewer High School on Highway 67 and love living in the country. While in Atlanta I taught special education. We moved back to Alabama and I taught the special needs preschool class until 2011. I moved to Kindergarten and have been teaching Kindergarten for the past 2 years. I have a son, Christian, who is 16 and a daughter, Caroline, who is 13. They keep us very busy.
