Tentative plans for memorial celebration:
Celebration of Bob Frost
Date & Time: Saturday, November 1st from Noon to 4pm
Location: Essex, CT
- Proposed Venue: Essex Yacht Club (Still finalizing)
- Menu Style: Buffet/Appetizers with Open Bar and Open Seating
- General Timeline: Noon to 1pm arrive & mingle; 1:15pm Start Program; 2-4pm, mingle/depart
Generally, for others considering travelling, we all hope to arrive in Essex Thursday and depart Sunday so that we can connect with others traveling to be on hand. We're anticipate, for example, to invite folks to a informal Friday night event somewhere downtown.
As for the program, we see this as a celebration of Dad, and intend for it to be relatively warm-hearted and light in terms of ceremony. We don't have any specific ceremonial (i.e. religious) activities in mind, but would like to invite any of you to speak that wishes. I plan to offer some remarks and Dave and Lindsey are considering it as well.
Depending on your response, I may also reach out to Dad's fraternity brothers or others you might recommend. Perhaps one of the nieces/nephews would be interested as well on behalf of all of them? I'd also appreciate any recommendations on an MC (perhaps Jack Humphreville or, again, a niece/nephew?)
No pressure to share remarks, but please let us know your personal or group preference(s) sometime soon.
Many thanks,
I was able to attend and participate in this wonderful service last fall. Bob would have loved it. No one had a begger heart of gold...and no one could be a better friend than FROSTY!
