Bonnie Kay Watson, 64, Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.

She was born on June 11, 1947, to Curtis and Ethel (Shelton) Lantow in Defiance, Ohio. She married Terry Lee Watson on November 20, 1971, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2011. Bonnie worked in the bakery at the Chief Supermarket. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary.

Bonnie is survived by a son, Jody Lee (Melissa) Watson of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Deb (John) Smiddy of Defiance; a brother, Brad (Kim) Buchholz of Defiance; a granddaughter, Bexley Watson, and another grandchild on the way who Bonnie was convinced will be a boy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Lantow, who passed away when Bonnie was very young; and stepfather and mother, Bob and Ethel Buchholz.

Visitation will be held today, April 12, 2012, from 3-8 p.m. at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon George Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
