Norman Hall Dement, Jr., 67, of Defiance, passed away on November 8, 2014 at Defiance Regional Medical Center, Defiance, Ohio.
He was born on March 13, 1947 to Norman and Jane (Hall) Dement in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Norman served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an insurance agent with Grant Insurance. Norman was founder of the Northwest Ohio Jr. Golf Association, and was a former member of the Kettenring Country Club in Defiance. He loved Ole Miss football and Cleveland sports teams.
Norman is survived by his son, Aaron (Shelby) Dement of Fremont, OH, stepdaughter, Carmen (Ken) Vollmar of Tontogany, OH, and sister, Sandra Lawson of Bellefontaine, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Jane Dement.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Yazel officiating.
Entombment will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens at a later date.
