After graduation I attended OWCC and then Troy University graduating in 1991 with a BA in public relations and print journalism. From 1992 to 1996 I worked for the Walton Council on Aging through a state grant to improve the health, housing, etc. of Walton's elderly. In 1995 I completed my teaching certification and began teaching English and reading comprehension classes in 1996-97 at Freeport High School. I taught at FHS through the 2004-05 school year. I now teach English and reading at Eufaula (AL) High School.
Although it was hard leaving "home" I feel like I have lived in Eufaula forever. With three very busy children there is not much me time, but I love being on the lake, playing BUNCO, and being involved with our annual Eufaula Pilgrimage.
School Story
There are so many fond memories of those years at WSHS. Winning a state football championship and spending weekend after weekend in the Tastee Freeze parking lot are only a couple that come to mind. I can't believe that has been over 20 years ago!
