Comments:
After three excruciating years in the Army as a Combat Engineer I chose to stay in Europe with my wife Nicole. For the next thirteen plus years I worked for the U.S. Air Force at Rhein Main Air Base in Frankfurt, Germany, working mostly in purchasing, budget, and accounting. Upon the closure of the air base in 2005, I took a job in Wiesbaden, Germany for Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service-Europe (Head Quartered out the Federal Center in Battle Creek).
Nicole, my two girls (Kelli and Kristin), and I get back to the States about once a year, but also enjoy traveling within Europe when we can.
After many years of softball and inline hockey leagues, I give them up to pursue a college degree (still plugging away), which at the time was eighteen years after high school graduation.
At 4,400 plus miles away from home Im still an avid fan of the Wolverines, Tigers, Wings, and even the Lions. Unfortunately enough I have befriended a few Columbus frequenters, so my Big Ten rivalry is alive and healthy. I keep up with local things through the Detroit News and Free Beer and Hot Wings.
