Billy Delamar

After High School, I served 5yrs active duty and 3yrs reserve in the USMC. I was fortunate to live an several different countries. My first posting was Okinawa Japan. I then served as a Marine Embassy Guard in Dhaka, Bangladesh for 1 1/2 yrs, while stationed there, I was attached to George H.W. Bush's secret service detail in Tokyo, Japan and then to Sec. of Treasury James Baker's Secret Service detail in Bangkok, Thailand. I then served at the U.S. Consulate in Hamburg Germany. for 1 1/2yrs.
After serving in the Marine Corps, I attended SLU receiving a degree in Business Management. I now work as an operations manager for a Fire Alarm/ Security Company in Baton Rouge.

My brother is Married to Amy Graves and they have a wonderful son named Nicholas.

Thinking about 20yrs after High School. It makes you ponder some things. I was not a popular person, so will anyone actually remember me? Are there people I could have befriended in school that needed a friend? Was there anyone I was unknowingly mean to? Have I had a productive life?
There are some conclusions I have come to. It is not important if you were popular or not, it was just High School. Everyone could have done more to befriend the guy or girl that was not in the in-crowd. No matter what the students of the class of 89' have as a jobs or have accomplished in their lives. As long as they have good hearts and are decent citizens. I think they are successful, whether they are a Janitor or a Nobel Prize winner. I just hope that my fellow students are healthy and happy. If High School was a good, bad or uneventful time in your life, it did not define your life it was a stepping stone in your path to become the person you are.
I wish everyone well and hope to see old friends and make new friends of those i was not close to.
