What Ever Happened To The Mosaic That Hung On Our Building

Recently I found a Facebook page for the Class of '71.   They were talking about the mosaic on the school building.  I found it quite interesting but I wanted to be sure that we had the correct information.

So I contacted Sheila Slocum Hollis.  After all if anyone would know, it would be her!   Here is what she sent me.

"John was half of the art team that designed and executed the mosaic.  It is at Machebeuf now.  Sister Jean Patrice sent an article from the Denver Catholic Register about 5 years ago.  There was a big rededication."

We can be thankful for the great talent of John Hollis for keeping part of the Class of '65 alive!

If you know of any interesting information about our school let us know.

John Hollis sent this information to me:

"Can you imagine the night of the Sadie Hopkins dance Paul Rodriqueze (sp), myselt and Sister Mary David were gluing and grouting the mosaic in time for the dedication that was approaching sooner that we had planned?  Sister Mary David was the driving inspiration behind the mosaic and herself an artist who gave her talents to the glory of our Lord.  Gld bless the memory of such a wonderful person in my life.  See you all soon.  John"
